LEMONS! We love them! What could be more fresh when your talking about a beautiful daytime wedding using yummy yellow. When we met the lovely A she knew she wanted to use yellow, but it was our pleasure to introduce her to the idea of fruit in event decorating! Yes, we've said (and done) it before, but using fruit in your event is a beautiful, fresh, and cost effective way to bring in the color your looking for! Depending on your budget, fruit can either be paired with floral or used on it's own. Our Sweet Bride had her heart set on pairing the bright yellow with an elegant black. Since her reception was to be held at chic local wine bar, we thought this was the perfect color combination!!
THE CEREMONY
The day began with a morning ceremony held at the gorgeous Marty Leonard Chapel. This ceremony site is so great because it allows a normal sized wedding (guest count of 200-250) to get the majestic cathedral look without empty seats!!
THE RECEPTION
After the ceremony, guests headed to the fun and modern Times Ten Cellars. The understated dark decor was the perfect backdrop for our fresh bright yellow!
The main reception room featured our favorite three table buffet set up with different menu items on each table. This configuration is such a great alternative to the traditional long buffet tables because it allows guests to visit each table without going through a long line. It also does something essential... it gets the beautiful food out of the corner and into the center of the room. After all, the food is a decoration too!!
And for the desserts.... Cupcakes!! Although our handsome Groom wanted to go with a more traditional cake for the Groom's cake, A decided to go with fun cupcakes for her sweet selection. She had several different flavors and they were beautifully displayed!!
The Bride and Groom decided to go with jazz trio to make the perfect atmosphere for the wine bar reception....
