Strawberries were of course the primary theme followed closely by our secondary theme: Candy. Kids love candy so much that they will sacrifice life and limb (and sometimes the life and limbs of their siblings) to get to it. It's always funny to us to see the state of a candy display after a kid's birthday party as opposed to a candy display after another event like a wedding. The kids party display looks like a bomb hit... and usually the kids faces look the same. This apparent disaster = event planning excellence. It's proof that the people who really matter to the guest of honor had a GREAT time. We like to keep the candy available and free flowing through out the whole party.
How about some Cotton Candy ice cream cones???
Or maybe some fresh strawberries? Of course you don't have to have red hair or a strawberry outfit to eat it, but it definitely makes it taste better!!
Maybe you should try some of our cinnamon popcorn or a PB&J made with (you guessed it) Strawberry Jelly!
Name banners are such a fun and easy way to celebrate the guest of honor....
Now of course we love Strawberry Shortcake and everything strawberry that comes with her, but how could we forget about her best friends???
While we're not huge fans of scheduling every second of a kid's party, we do like the idea of having at least one fun craft or activity. At this party we prepared personalized chalkboards in advance.
Each of our little friends were invited to leave their hand print on the chalkboard. Hand prints are such a great way to capture that moment in time.... in the blink of an eye those little hands grow bigger!!
The other entertainment...
Event success is defined by a happy birthday girl... She was a pleasure and so were her little friends!
